Our approach to CSI is committed to investing in the development and empowerment of projects that supports our development mandate. In order to create a sustainable environment, it is critical to our overall strategy that there is an interaction with businesses, government and community at large.
Ithala Corporate Social Investment (CSI) vision is to be a strategic partner to business, and use the programmes to entrench Ithala as a true development entity
To achieve this, Ithala CSI is focusing on the following principles:
- Working closely with key entities (business, government and communities) in identifying Key strategic programmes to support our mission.
- Understanding the key business drivers, and embarking on initiatives that talk to those business drivers.
- Embarking on impactful activities that are sustainable.
- Strategic partnerships with organisations that share the same vision.
Our projects are on the following key areas:
- Skills Development: Imbokodo Iyazenzela Women in SMMEs
- Job Creation and Entrepreneurship focusing on Youth: Inkunzi’sematholeni Youth in Business
- Financial Wellness: StarSaver (Teach Children to Save initiative), Abantwanabethu Back to school campaign,
- Capacity Building Programmes: Women’s Month Sanitary Drive, Christmas Cheer Toy Drive
