The Ithala Trade Centre is seen as a development hub, situated at the gateway
to the city, providing easy access and ample secure parking. It boasts an
excellent setting, surrounded by mixed use buildings and a modern network of
canals and is well located in terms of shopping amenities, conference facilities
and other institutions.
The Trade Centre is designed and decorated along modern classic lines,
generally open plan making best use of the floor space and featuring
environmentally friendly fittings to reduce operating costs. Secure
parking is available on two levels and at street level and provision has been
made for restaurants and coffee shops on the ground floor.

Mabuyakhulu, along with Ithala Board members, Executives and other key
stakeholders on the project attended a launch and site visit, held recently at a
venue on Durban’s Point Waterfront.
“Our property portfolio is central to our development mandate of job creation
and economic upliftment of local communities. We see the Ithala Trade Centre as
a flagship in our commercial portfolio and believe that this project will
enhance the area by contributing to mixed use development, regeneration and
growth on the Point Waterfront”, stated Yvonne Zwane, Ithala Group Chief
Executive, in her welcome address.
During his keynote address, Mr Mabuyakulu applauded Ithala, not only on the
establishment of the Trade Centre development but also on the good work the
organisation is doing in terms of its commitment to funding business enterprises
and providing banking services to communities in the Province.
