The Properties Department has assembled a professional team to cater for the various needs of business in the Province and to drive economic development and empowerment whilst remaining financially sustainable. In order to cater for these needs and to ensure that Ithala is the leader in economic development and empowerment, three divisions were created:-
Industrial Property
As the largest industrial property portfolio holder in KwaZulu-Natal, with over 1 million m2 of factory space, Ithala is ideally placed to provide the industrial, service and SMME sectors with a wide range of stand alone or mini-factories, spread throughout KwaZulu-Natal.
Commercial Property
Consisting of strategically placed shopping centres and office blocks totalling some 140 000 m2, which operate under Ithala's control, with various options and opportunities presenting themselves, specifically for the business looking to access emerging markets.
Property Development
Ithala has experience in establishing and maintaining one of the largest property portfolios in KwaZulu-Natal. Its portfolio of properties is spread across the province and comprises more than one million square metres of industrial factories and complexes, more than 20 shopping centres, and in excess of 40 banking facilities.
Tourism Ithala is active across the development spectrum within the province of KwaZulu-Natal and a key activity is the facilitation of tourism investment in our province.
